چکیده

Background: To maintain immobility of children for good quality computed tomography (CT) scans, sedation may be used. Present study was planned to compare the efficacy oral triclofos and midazolam in undergoing CT. Methodology: The prospective, comparative, randomized Indian conducted Department Anaesthesia at a J.J. Hospital Grant Medical college. Study population paediatric subjects between 2 years 5 (both inclusive) with ASA-I, exhibiting fearful or refractory behaviour previous CT Scans. Oral 100 mg/kg given one group (100 patients) 0.75 other preoperative room facility oxygen multipolar monitor. Standardized scoring systems (Ramsay Sedation Scale, Aldrete Recovery Score) were used evaluation. Vascular parameters, time onset duration recovery also assessed. Results: Mean age gender distribution comparable groups (p>0.05). On comparing heart rate, systolic diastolic BP Midazolam Triclofos all time-points, no significant difference found score significantly higher compared (p<0.05). quicker In addition, mean scans lower Conclusion: have better sedative profile patients

comparison of oral midazolam and promethazine with oral midazolam alone for sedating children during computed tomography

introduction: both midazolam and promethazine are recommended to be used as sedatives in many studies but each have some side effects that limits their use. combination therapy as an alternative method, may decreases these limitations. therefore, this study aimed to compare midazolam with midazolam-promethazine regarding induction, maintenance, and recovery characteristics following pediatric p...
